Policy
In addition to water science and engineering, I am interested in exploring how policy shapes stormwater management decisions. Stormwater management is governed at the federal level through the EPA's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), with regulations varying based on whether a sewer system is combined or separate. As part of my dissertation, I am co-advised by Jerry Kauffman and Casey Taylor from the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration at University of Delaware, ensuring that current and future environmental regulatory requirements related to water quality and stormwater are integral to the development of management strategies and approaches.
